Hosted by Alma Avery Rubenstein from ABC’S “The Bachelor”. Alma owned a dating service in Seattle for 5 years called The Professional Dater and now is planting her roots in Portland! She is a nationwide date doctor seen on Good Morning America.

Alma’s events are not open to the public. People are screened by this interview process to ensure that all events are filled with quality professional singles. You must interview in person prior to attending her events.

I also offer one-on-one date coaching should you have any dating frustrations. I work with men and women on everything from image to issues, profile creation and update, flirting technique, etc. I provide solutions to help people with challenges in and around their own dating lives.

How the screening works

I will fairly assess you and what you are bringing to the table so be prepared for the truth.

I call it like it is and will offer constructive feedback that your friends, family, and daters will not tell you.

I will offer coaching if I think you need it.

You must bring a photo with you that I can have. Please write your name, phone number, age, height, and weight on the back.

If you have any specific questions and or frustrations in and around dating, please bring them so you get all that you want out of our 30 minute session.

text What is Speed Dating?

Speed dating is a formalized matchmaking process and dating system. The purpose is to encourage people to meet a large number of new people in a short amount of time. I say get all your dating done in one night for the whole year. It only takes one. That’s all you need. Think about how long it takes to meet someone from the internet. When was the last time you had 10 dates in one night?

HOW IT WORKS—-Men and women are rotated to meet each other over a series of short “dates”, usually lasting from 3 to 5 minutes. Plan on meeting anywhere from 8 to 15 potentials. At the end of each interval, we ring a bell to signal the participants to move on to the next date. At the end of the event participants submit a list of who they would like to provide their contact information to. If there is a mutual match, contact information is forwarded to both parties either phone or email within 3 days. Contact information cannot be traded during the initial meeting, in order to reduce pressure to accept or reject a suitor to his or her face.

Flirting 101 is my favorite class to teach. It’s fun and interactive and helps you get out of your head and into your life so you have better results in your dating life. You will also meet other singles of the opposite sex.

We cover everything from introductions to breaking the ice to small talk, body language, eye contact, closing the deal, giving or getting a phone number, and even ways of dealing with rejection so you can move on to the next person. We cover do’s and dont’s for dating, and we’ll even get the crowd involved. Terminally shy? No problem, Wanting to brush up on your skills? No problem. We discuss how holding back can prevent you from getting what you truly want and deserve in love and life. Part lecture and part on your feet. An exciting and interactive night to learn and also practice in a fun environment. Flirting 101 is part of a 3 part series.
